Step 1. Set a Budget

Before you select whether your wedding ceremony will be formal, informal, the number of guests, the venue, the minister, and the dress; decide what is affordable.

Step 2. Imagine It

What do you want the look and feel of it to be. Rustic, glamorous, intimate. Indoors or out-of-doors? Would there be a dress theme; formal, western, casual?

Step 3. Who Would You Like to Invite?

How big the group will be will help determine the setting and venue. This would be a good time to think about whom you would want to invite, and whom you would want in your wedding party.

Step 4. Consider the ceremony date

Consider work schedules, family calendar conflicts, holidays, to name a few. What dates are available at your venue?

​

Step 5. Choose a venue

Can they accommodate your preferred dates? How easily can they accommodate the size of your group? How expensive would it be? The important thing is that it is practical, affordable, and has the feel and setting that you had hoped for.

Step 6. Book the Venue and Minister

Make sure Dr. Rueter is available on that date.
